Tune in to Adam Buxton’s new BBC Radio 2 quiz show I’m Spartacus this Thursday at 10:30pm

Adam Buxton’s new quiz show I’m Spartacus is broadcast this Thursday night (9th April 2009) over on BBC Radio 2. The 30-minute show will be broadcast at 10:30pm.

It’s described on the BBC Radio 2 website as : "An irreverent and fun panel game, based on the world of film and a panel of comedians all fighting for the right to call themselves Spartacus. Presented by Adam Buxton."

Many thanks to smash over on the Pilkipedia for spotting this!

kinda dull so far. I wish it were presented as a Mark Kermode style film trivia show rather than a panel shows which is obviously scripted. I have nothing against written material, but I hate comedians pretending to be spontaneous with it.

Really enjoyed it, is just like a movie version of The 99p Challenge. Brill Skillz.

I'm always up for a bit of Guy Ritchie bashing so that was an enjoyable half hour for me.

I thought it was...ok. Better than it would have been with someone else at least. Not that I know anything about Engloid comedic types.

Really good first show, Adam's amazing at keeping the wheels rolling with his seemingly endless stream of energy (says the smug brown-nosed kid). I thought Andrew Collins deserved the honour of being spartacus though. Hope he didn't cry too many lemony tears over it.

I really liked it but I refuse to get my hopes up that it will be comissioned for a whole series. Mr Buxton never seems to have any luck in that department :(
I also really liked "A Week With" but that seems to have gone away as well.
