Apparently resolving rumours rumbling around Comic Con, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Joe has signed another hefty bit of paperwork.
Geeks delight.
The Adventures of Tintin co-writer Joe Cornish has signed on to direct the graphic novel adaptation Rust for 20th Century Fox.
The fanboy favorite, who is a frequent collaborator with Edgar Wright, will tackle the property written by Royden Lepp that is described as an adventure set in the prairie lands of an unknown time.
News of the deal began circulating as Comic-Con kicked off.
Aline Brosh McKenna, who adapted the screenplay, is producing alongside Fox-based Simon Kinberg.
The writer tweeted this earlier.
@dead_anchoress I know! I was sworn to Hollywood secrecy! I’m so excited. Met Joe this month and he’s perfect!
