Joe Cornish attached to adapt and direct Snow Crash

Deadline broke the news last night and it has been followed up by the great and the good of film news.

Often described as ‘unfilmable’, Neal Stephenson’s 1992 best seller has the kind of disparate concepts that would fire and excite a brain like Cornballs’. There have been a couple of previous attempts to adapt it but if anyone can pull a film out of this material, Joe can.
