Hearty congratulations from everyone at Adamandjoe.com.
In the Best Music Feature category Adam’s timeless documentary celebrating last year’s David Bowie reinvention was awarded the prettiest of the three awards – the Silver. Poor old Radio 4 had to make do with a frankly rather brassy looking ‘gold’ award.
Both Adam and also James Stirling (Head of Programmes and previous A&J Producer) tweeted from the table.

What the Judges Said
“In a year full of David Bowie programming across all platforms, this show was very much about one person’s relationship with the music and phenomenon that is David Bowie.
This was a highly personal, idiosyncratic and very funny programme – Adam Buxton brilliantly balances an obvious love for the work of Bowie with his uniquely irreverent style. This was a properly authored piece with one individual letting you into his world – this could only be Adam Buxton’s story.
What results is a show that sounds unlike any other – it demands to be listened to; it isn’t background listening, it is very much foreground – engaging the listener from beginning to end. It is a brilliant use of radio.”
Feel free to send Adam your congratulations on our forum thread
