Is there anyone out there that doesn't yet own a copy of The Adam and Joe DVD?

I spent last night watching it all -- it's incredible. I love the detail in the menus.. and there's loads of material on there I've never seen before. Loved 'The Adam and Joe story' feature too :)

Anyway - I'd thought I'd do a quick price comparison, as you can pick it up for as little as £3 delivered if you shop around. Amazon were charging around £13 last time I checked the other week, but they now have it for £2.98!:

£2.98 - Amazon.co.uk
£2.99 - Play.com

£3.73 - TheHut.com
£3.73 - Asda
£3.73 - LoveFilm
£3.73 - Dixons Entertainment
£3.73 - Currys Entertainment
£3.73 - WHSMith
£3.73 - PCWorld
£3.75 - Zavvi
£3.77 - Argos
£3.77 - Chipsworld
£3.89 - Sendit.com
£3.99 - DVDSource
£4.00 - Tesco Entertainment
£4.49 - HMV.com
£6.99 - Moviemail
£12.69 - Choices UK
£13.57 - Borders.co.uk
£15.99 - Powerplaydirect
oos - SelectCheaper

Please let us know if this list is incorrect or outdated :)

The Ken Korda phone call to Geffen Records on the extras bit was brilliant -- does anyone have that as a mp3 clip?

ah awesome :)
I'm not sure how I'd go about making a clip .. perhaps ripping the whole DVD to my PC and then using Audacity?

Aren't there 2 different versions of the dvd though? I could have sworn one was vanilla and the other had the great extras.

I bought mine from Sendit.com and the barcode is 6 867441 005193
The (C) date is 2006, and the runtime is 142mins (plus 77mins of extras)

But there does seem to be 2 versions on Amazon (albeit one is out of stock)

Amazon 1 ASIN: B000F3SZJU

Amazon 2 ASIN: B0002CVQD6

That's because the dvd came out originally via a company called VCI which controlled the Channel 4 dvd brand. Then a few years ago I think 4DVD went independent and it took a while for all the dvds to be reissued under the new 4 DVD, and why some sites have two listings for some 4 titles.

It's also why Series 1 of Peep Show wasn't available in shops for about 8 months, despite having been released 18 months previously!

"Go to the first extras menu, move the hand graphic to Adam & Joe’s World Of Sound then press UP on your DVD remote. The hand disappears at which point you should press RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, UP, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, UP. The right hand button on the little Etch-a-Sketch goes yellow! Press SELECT and you will hear two phone conversations with shop assistants from Harrods and Woolworths in Clapham High Street that we made just before we delivered the DVD in July 2004."

from buxtons blog, well worth doing.
