Adam and Joe for the Radio 1 breakfast show

So, The Sun is reporting Chris Moyles is getting the boot

CONTROVERSIAL CHRIS MOYLES, the self-proclaimed “Saviour of Radio 1”, is on his way OUT of the station’s flagship breakfast show.

He will be axed this year after he becomes the slot’s longest-serving host in September.

...unfortunately this turns out not to be true, but I would love to see the BBC bigwigs give Adam and Joe a chance at the Radio 1 breakfast show. If they think the 6music playlist is bad, wait til they see the Radio 1 playlist.

the story wasn't true... The Sun used it as a headline, but then pretty much said it was bollocks within the article in smaller print.

As much as I loved the Sean Keavney Takeover shows A&J did, I don't think a daily show would be good for them, or at least I don't think they could sustain it (no offense to Dr. Sexy or Bucky).

I don't think they'd take it even if they were offered. Joe's busy with his screenwriting now and Adam's busy swanning about in his kimono listening to the podcast.

Yep, agree, it'll never happen. Even so the next natural progression would be a regular slot on Radio 2. I would liked to have seen them on Saturday nights there (maybe replacing Ol' Russ - wasn't that rumoured a while back) but now Alan Carr is on that kind of time I think it would be best for them to stay on 6.

I think the chaps would be lost on radio 1 to be honest. Once a week on digital is often enough, lest they turn Moylesian in their ways. Replacing Jonathan Ross is a possibility though!
