Was there something new there, Hobbsy? I can't see anything.

In the meantime, the film has been shown in the Berlinale markets and apparently, they're wondering if a US remake would be better than a US release of the existing UK film.

Obviously, it's great that they think the concept is that good and there'll be a certain amount of added prestige in this but I hope Joe can stay attached at least for the rewrites. I'd feel happier if he just had a runaway success everywhere with his UK version. He must feel weird about this.

Pfft, did they have trouble understanding the accents? (ah, just read it; yes.)

I'm sure I remember him saying somewhere that he tried to make the language somewhere between authentic and broadly understandable but I know some Americans that struggled with a New Zealand film because of 'the accents'. It's odd really because there are so many accents all across the States. I'm sure it's all in the mind :D

Real reason for dropping in here is to say that the SXSW schedule has been sorted now.

Saturday March 12 @ 11:59PM
Venue
Alamo Drafthouse Ritz 1
320 East 6th St

Additional Screenings
Sunday March 13 @ 11:59PM,
Wednesday March 16 @ 9:00PM

I would sell my soul to be there...

Looks great! And there's already a very respectable following on Twitter and Facebook.

Can't wait to see the trailer!

Ha! I was just coming to link these pics. Nick Frost's character looks brilliant. Can't wait to see him in a film without Simon Pegg.
