If the activity on Twitter two minutes after the film finished on Sunday was anything to go by, very few people were disappointed with what they saw and many were thrilled beyond their already high expectations.
Edgar Wright introduced cast members Nick Frost and Luke Treadaway to the stage before the film and finally, after a touching precis of their friendship so far, let Joe Cornish present his film to a very appreciative festival audience. Joe, Edgar and Luke stayed for a Q & A afterwards.
On Sunday, Joe and Nick were interviewed by Matt Singer in the Crossroads House studio for IFC.
Part Two starts with the trailer.
Tickets go on sale next Tuesday (8th March) to BFI members for a special show at the London NFT – Adam Buxton’s Technical Meltdown.
Here’s a bit of backstory:-
Last month Adam played a set at The Tabernacle in London where he apparently had a few laptop/Photoshop problems. In a Noel Gallagher Heaton Park-esque gesture of generosity/madness he offered members of the audience a free show if they left their email addresses afterwards. By all accounts this was probably totally un-necessary as the audience feedback was very positive on Twitter.
The remaining seats after the BFI presale will be offered to the general public from Tuesday 15th March
Adam Buxton (who is writing this blurb) opens his laptop and tips the contents over the audience for a 90 minute showcase of his own so called work. Expect a ramshackle mix of music and video favourites by the award winning 6 music DJ, actor and sometime member of Adam & Joe, as well as random internet morcels and the enlightening comments of the YouTube community. If it goes exactly the way Adam Buxton is imagining, it will be the best 90 minutes of all time.

At lunchtime today, James blogged the news we have all been waiting for. He has confirmed a twelve week return to their special Saturday slot.
They will be discussing their return with Lauren Laverne on her Wednesday show. You can now listen to that clip here.

Good news – Adam and Joe return to their Saturday morning 10am to 1pm slot on 6 Music for a 12 week run at the beginning of April.
Here’s what Adam had to say about the matter:
“I can’t wait to get back to our show on Saturdays, I’ve really missed doing it. Not that I haven’t been every bit as busy as Joe. I’ve created several new filing systems for my CD’s and DVD’s, successfully reunited over 20 odd socks with their partners and learned to understand the language of ants (though I’m finding Decs more of a problem). It’s been fun but I’m looking forward to talking rubbish and playing brilliant music with Joe again.”
Monty Buggershop Hooty, author of Nude Rambler and The Rook Cook Book, presents another collection inspiring of rural vignettes. In this episode Monty has harsh words for the local rabbit community, tries to catch flies in his mouth and considers the scrotum of life.
