When are Adam and Joe back on 6Music?

Do we have a definite date yet when Adam and Joe will be returning? I heard rumours of November ... ?

We don't as far as I know.......not for the want of asking! I'm thinking we'll have some news any day now but it's more likely to be December......if not (dare I say it) January.

The press release about the new Song Wars album is rather vague. I shall see Buckles next week but I doubt I'll have the nerve to ask him. Hopefully, someone else will be able to get an idea from him.

Adam and Joe will pre-record a show from their festive hut tonight, for broadcast on Christmas Day.

Right - this is coming with an over-analysis warning. This is great news but...

I'm not a fan of the phrases "one last time", and "the show we used to do" - even though the former was said in a joking-ish way it does seem like they won't be properly back anytime soon - or even ever. But Joe did say "it's great to be back" so maybe it's an over reaction.

Meanwhile over in camp Collins & Herring, on their latest non-bbc podcast, they mentioned they had recently met with someone quite high up regarding how long they had left on Saturday mornings, and the answer was...we don't know, because they went off on another subject before saying. I'm in the camp that they would have made a point by saying if A&J were back properly any time soon as they make a point quite often about how feaux-pissed-off they are with people always asking them, but it's just speculation so don't go round saying bad news because of me ok?! Hope I'm wrong, but looking forward to Christmas anyway!

To contextualise the C&H thing - Richard was berating Andrew for the way he blurts things and doesn't think before he says the thing in his head and he implied that his bold question to James was not only pre-emptive because he was just about to be told but also that the answer was an embarrassment - which is why Richard had a poke at Andrew (he wishes). I have decided to take that to mean they STILL don't know whey they're coming back....nothing more sinister than that.

However, as a precaution, I'm going to steal Joe's cat and not release her until he begins to get his priorities right

I have searched in vain for a non-subscription version of this but in an attempt to quash the more negative vibes derived from their video, I thought I'd draw attention to a paragraph from Broadcast which is a respected trade paper, as copied into the 6Music A&J blog by Jamie.

"The pair were expected to return to present a regular show from November, however this appears to have been pushed back. It is understood that they have the appetite to return, but are yet to organise dates as they manage their personal commitments."
