Did anyone see the rather unfunny Comedy Lab: iCandy? The sketch link setup was waaaayyyy too close to MeeBox for my liking.

I hadn't heard of it before but just watched it there on 4od to see what you were talking about. I know it's all subjective but I don't think it's fair just to flatly call everything about that show "unfunny". I thought the Stringfellow / Taoiseach / Driving instructer / school teacher sketches were really good.
I also don't think it's fair to insinuate the link setup format is a ripoff of meeebox. If anything it's a rip off of the Kevin Bishop show. but regardless, I think it's irrelevent. Adam did the "youtube" format, Bishop does the "sky digital" format, and now this guy did the "itunes" format. If we're gonna be pedantic then they both ripped off bishop but who cares. It's not the crappy linking between sketches that makes a show funny, it's the sketches themselves.
This guy did some great impressions and had some really original sketch ideas. I mean the idea of a knacker taoiseach turning up for a european leadership conference and kidnapping gordon brown in his hi-ace van! Or Peter Stringfellow educating a room of chavs about the correct wine to drink with specific fish dishes! That was great stuff.

This is part of the C4 comedy pilot season Comedy Lab. I was amazed that Twitter didn't go crazy about this so I just kept quiet. It was so poor compared to Meebox. If this gets commissioned it'll be another reason to question the lilly livered attitude of the Castle.
